There is just 22 days until Christmas; yet it may not feel like it to some. That is why we at Dynamic Door Service Today are taking this time to share with our loyal readers some of the best, not to mention easiest, ways to get into the holiday spirit.
Turn on the Holiday Tunes
Nothing beats listening to holiday tunes in order to quickly get into the holiday spirit. Tune your car radio to 99.9 (FM) to listen to such classics as Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” or “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” You’ll also hear some newer renditions. For maximum effect be sure and sing along.
Watch Netflix
Netflix has a pretty sweet collection of holiday flicks to choose from for those both young and young at heart. For the next few weeks you can watch everything from classic holiday sitcoms and cartoons to movies such as “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Story“.
Look at all of the Holiday Lights
I recommend filling up a travel mug with steaming hot cocoa, donning your warmest jacket and hat, and walking or driving around your neighboring communities to look at all of the different holiday lights and decorations. Bring on the greatest holiday light shows around!
Deck Out Your Garage Door
Deck out your garage door for added holiday cheer. Your garage door is after all the first thing that most people, including you, notice upon driving by or pulling up to your home. Prior to decorating, however, you should ensure the door is in tip-top shape by contacting a professional garage door services company.
You can add a wreath to the center of your garage door, hang garland around the frame of your door’s tops and sides, use a projector to add a holiday glow, image or greeting, add holiday magnets, or if you really want to go all out wrap your entire door in your favorite wrapping paper and finish with a big red bow.
Lend a Helping Hand
Make this holiday season ‘twice as nice’ by lending a helping hand to those less fortunate. Especially considering that the holiday season can be a difficult time of year for those that may be down on their luck. This is the perfect way, at least in my opinion, to celebrate the true meaning of the holiday.
You can lend a helping hand by providing a cash donation to one of the Salvation Army’s red kettles, “adopt’ an angel from a local Angel Tree and purchase the gift listed, or donate a new toy to Toys for Tots (they also accept cash donations). Many organizations are also looking for you to just volunteer your time.
